Client Spotlight, Kaia

Our clients are who make our business! Without them, we would not be anything. As a thank you to them, I wanted to reach out to those who have left us reviews and ask them if they were interested in being a part of our new Client Spotlight!

Below you will get to read about this month's spotlight, Kaia! Kaia and her pawrents Kayley and Graham (didn’t forget about you Susan 😉) were my very first board and train clients in June of this year! I can’t thank them enough for the trust they put in me to take care of their baby.

They have been awesome with keeping up with her training, and have been taking great advantage of using the benefits they get from using our board and train program! Kaia has been excelling in the show ring and at only seven months has won multiple awards!

This is an awesome team that I am excited to continue to watch grow and develop! Thank you so much to Kayley for filling this out for us.

Be sure to let us know if you would like to be a part of our client spotlight!

To start, tell us some interesting information about Kaia!

Kaia is co-owned by myself (Kayley), Graham, Susan, and Penny, so she gets quadruple the love! She was also the pick of her litter, Stellar Vizslas “A Moment In Time”, and her original puppy name was Tyme. Her full show name is Stellar’s It’s My Tyme.

Let’s see how Kaia’s parents feel about working with BBK9!

Are you happy with the training results?

I am thrilled with the results of Kaia’s board and train! Before I brought her to Battle Bridge Canine, she was struggling with mouthiness, jumping, biting at leashes, and many other young puppy problems. However, after her training, I was truly blown away at how much Caitlyn was able to teach her! Kaia finally started to respond to verbal correction when she would jump or bite, knew how to heel, walk on a leash, sit, down, wait at thresholds, and more. It was incredible! Even now, we are still able to utilize all of the incredibly useful skills she learned at Battle Bridge Canine.

Do you feel like BBK9 did a good job at teaching you how to handle your dogs’ behavior?

As Caitlyn told me when I picked Kaia up, consistently working with Kaia would be the key to maintaining her training. While I am not a dog trainer and had no prior knowledge of training a dog, Caitlyn took the time to teach me exactly how to best work with Kaia. I was nervous and awkward working with Kaia on the new things she had learned, but Caitlyn was very patient and thorough, and gave me an abundance of valuable information to make sure Kaia succeeded.

How do you feel about the communication you received during your dogs’ stay?

The communication I received while Kaia was at Battle Bridge Canine gave me peace of mind during her entire stay. Caitlyn provided updates, pictures, videos, and answered any of my questions in a timely manner. Because of this, I was able to see Kaia’s progression and how well she and Caitlyn worked together during her two week stay.

How do you feel about the communication you received after your dog went home?

The communication I received after bringing Kaia home was a direct reflection of how much Battle Bridge Canine truly cares about clients and their dogs' success. Caitlyn offered to come directly to my house to ensure Kaia adapted to the change in environment, and provided advice when I asked questions about the transition even after her stay. In addition to making sure Kaia succeeded at home, it is evident that Caitlyn cares about Kaia overall, as she enjoys getting updates on her and responds with encouragement to pictures and videos of Kaia.

How was your overall experience with BBK9?

Battle Bridge Canine exceeded my expectations in every regard. I was nervous leaving my fifteen week old puppy, Kaia, for her board and train, but I knew she was in great hands! The professionalism, results, communication and abundance of care provided by Caitlyn at her facility were more than perfect for Kaia. The two weeks that Kaia was in Battle Bridge Canine’s program have made her into the obedient, well-trained dog she is today at seven months old. This has been reflected at her dog shows, where she has won various awards and receives compliments from the judges on her behavior, and that is all thanks to Battle Bridge Canine and the foundation Caitlyn made for Kaia!

Thank you again, Kayley for taking the time to fill this out!
